Overview:
We partnered with the City of Manitou Springs to complete a key infrastructure and community enhancement project: the replacement of a park pathway bridge and accompanying upgrades to the surrounding pathway. Our scope included the installation of a new pedestrian bridge, improvements to adjacent pathways for better access and durability, and the placement of new park benches to enhance visitors’ experience. This project combined functional upgrades with aesthetic improvements, supporting both safety and community enjoyment.
Challenges:
Working within an active public park required tight coordination and minimal disruption to pedestrian access and nearby recreation areas. Site access for equipment was limited, and preservation of the surrounding landscape was a priority. Our team carefully staged materials and worked within strict environmental and city guidelines to complete the bridge installation and trail upgrades with minimal impact. Timely communication with city officials and park staff helped ensure the work stayed on track and aligned with the city’s vision.
Completion:
The new bridge provides safe, reliable pedestrian access while blending seamlessly into the park’s natural setting. Enhanced pathways improve walkability and drainage, while newly installed park benches offer inviting rest points for visitors. This project reflects our commitment to delivering infrastructure improvements that serve both form and function—enhancing public spaces for long-term use and enjoyment. Through careful execution and community-minded planning, we were proud to help elevate one of Manitou Springs’ well-loved public areas.
